Kat Von D has been expanding her eponymous makeup line like crazy over the last year. She’s updated the packaging, expanded to new countries, added several shade extensions to existing products, and released a slew of new products. Yet, as much as she’s adding, we just want more, more, more, and the new Serpentina palette is no exception.
Kat has been teasing this palette on Instagram for months, posting photos of the packaging, initial sketches, and hints at the colors throughout the last year. Now, we finally get to see it in all its glory. On the outside, the palette features hand drawn lettering in black gloss on a matte background.
The inside boasts 8 pressed shadows (4 shimmer finishes, 2 glitter shadows, and 2 matte finishes), as well as a removable container of loose pigment in metallic gold, for a total of 9 shades in rich jewel tones. Here is the color breakdown, via Temptalia:
Bloodmilk: Matte brick red
Medusa: Bronze shimmer
Ankh: Matte black with gold glitter
Queen: Rust glitter
Hieroglyph: Copper shimmer
Nile: Ocean blue shimmer
Scarab: Emerald shimmer
Venom: Matte royal purple
Prophet: gold loose pigment
The brand attests that all colors are 100% vegan and cruelty-free. Does it get any better? Check out the swatches below.
The palette will is available online now and retails for $45.00. It will roll out into Sephora stores on July 22nd, but it is limited edition, so don’t expect it to stick around.
